Anastacia Miranda

Anastacia Miranda, 76, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 25, 2019 with her loving family by her side.  She was born in Brownsville, Texas on November 3, 1942 to Esteban and Gerarda (Perez) Martinez.  On March 5, 1957 she married the love of her life, Luis Miranda and he survives.  She is also survived by her children, Martha Camarillo, Irma (Juan) Anaya, Esther (Daniel) Machuca, Laura (Curt) Campos; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Herlinda (Toño) Soriano; brothers, Esteban Martinez, Abelardo (Beatriz) Martinez, Raymundo (Hope) Martinez, Reynaldo (Jenny) Martinez, numerous other relatives and dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Estaban and Gerarda Martinez; son, Joe L. Miranda; granddaughter, Miranda Ann Campos; great-great grandson, Charles Chase Berrios-Ruiz; nephew, Mario Soriano; sister-in-law, Patsy Martinez.  Anastacia retired from U. S. Gypsum after 18 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved gardening and had a wonderful garden.  She loved cooking for her family.  She loved her Tejano music and would dance to it to the very end.  The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, Indiana 46408 – 219 980-5555.  Funeral Services will be on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  At rest – Ridgelawn Cemetery.  Ana will be dearly missed by her loving family and dear friends.
