Arlease Sweezer

Arlease Sweezer (nee: Styles), age 81, departed this life on Friday, August 16, 2019, with her loving family by her side.
Arlease was born to Roosevelt and Cornelia (Harris) Styles on February 13, 1938.  She was a graduate of Emerson High School, and received her LPN License from Purdue University - Calumet.  She retired from U. S. Steel Tube Works after 17 years.

In August of 1975 Arlease was baptized in Jesus name.  On October 17th, 1975, she received the Holy Ghost at Zion Temple Apostolic Church under the pastorate of the late Bishop O. C. Garmon.   In 1982 she moved her membership to Victory Apostolic Faith Church under the pastorate of the late Bishop Reese Price Jr. in Chicago, Illinois.  She later became a faithful member of Logan Park Assembly of Christ under the pastorate of Bishop George Stearnes, and his successor, Pastor Jeffrey Allen.  She was a faithful Sunday School teacher, one of the church mothers and over Monday night Prayer Room.
Arlease was married to the late Charlie H. Sweezer, and was blessed with 5 children; Wanda Styles-Clark, Kenneth (Charlotte) Hughes, Arnetta (Dennis) Gates, Charlotte Sweezer and Edward (TyChelle) Sweezer.  She will be greatly missed by her special friend of 55 years, Minnie Dukes and other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 - 219 980-5555.  Funeral services will be on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Logan Park Assembly of Christ, 1513 Polk Street, Gary, IN.  Eulogy by:  Pastor Jeffery Allen. 
Arlease will be dearly missed by her loving family and dear friends.
