Brenda Dennie Obituary

On December 14th, 1959, God graced this earth with one of His most beautiful creations. Born to Ruben and Roberta Virginia, Brenda Marie Dennie came into this world with a purpose and with that purpose lived her life to the fullest.

Answering the call from God to be an Ambassador to Christ's Kingdom, a young Brenda dedicated her entire life to drawing closer to God and understanding how to use the many spiritual gifts she was blessed with.

Born and raised in Gary, IN Brenda graduated from Roosevelt High school in 1978 and began her journey as a woman growing in God. Transitioning from a career as a secretary in the Nursing Department at IUN to overseeing the church administration at Faith Temple of Christ, Brenda never allowed this fast-paced schedule, to come in between her pursuit to please God.

All the while, she faced the challenge of being a single mother. She raised a son to understand the mysteries of God's Kingdom in the midst of a sinful and cruel world. Her dedication to the Body of Christ was shown as she sung in the choir, prayed on the prayer team, and even writing in a news letter with a group called The Jesus People.

As her faith in God grew, Brenda learned that her love and compassion for others would unlock the gifts that would allow her to change the world around her. She allowed the Holy Spirit to transform a quiet, soft spoken girl into a virtuous women of God.

From her passion for worship to her uncannny gift of prophecy, Brenda counseled others from family to prisoners and even the homeless she encountered on the streets. Hosting a radio broadcast show to publishing her first book, Rooms of Intercession, Brenda knew what she was born to do.

In 1994, Brenda was first ordained as a minister and moved relentlessly in her calling to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every area of her life. This journey soon led her to her husband and partner Lester Dennie. Together the two were ordained at the Sanctuary Outreach Ministries Apostolic Network and 2008 marked the beginning of R.O.C.K. Ministries Training Center where the two of them taught God's word.

Brenda went on in achieving a Bachelor's of Christian Counseling from Harvest Christian University, a series of Certifications in Marriage Counseling and Holistic Healing and ultimately gaining her Master's Degree in Ministry from Share-A-Prayer and Word Theological School of Ministry.

Though all of these accomplishments were great, they never superceded Brenda's desire to get closer to the love of God.

Brenda leaves behind her loving husband Lester Jerome Dennie, her two sons Darnell Anthony Virginia(Miechelle Virginia), D'Andre Dennie, her daughter Arial Neville (David Neville), brother Harlee Currie (late Ira Currie), sister Dorris Wilkins, sister Ruby Nell Virginia, sister Carol Culver, brother Myron Virginia, 8 grandchildren; Cristion Davis, Alani Rucker, A'mya Virginia, Arianna Virginia, Acaia Neville, Bella-Miechelle Davis, Autumn Virginia and David J. Neville , a host of neices and nephews, many many close friends and spiritual children.

The greatest thing that she leaves behind is her God-given gift of unconditional Love and unwavering Faith.
