Gilberto Rangel, III

Gilberto Rangel, III, 23, of Griffith, Indiana, passed away October 2, 2019.  He was born July 9, 1996 to Gilberto Rangel, Jr. and Rachel Sandoval in Hammond, Indiana.  He is survived by his parents, Gilberto Rangel, Jr. and Rachel (Martin) Sandoval; fiancé, Faith Adams; brothers, Robert Sandoval, Michael Sandoval; grandmother, Irma Rangel; aunts, Yoli Rangel and Myra Rangel; cousins, Romeo, Soraya and Emily; other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gilbert Rangel, Sr.;  and maternal grandparents, Francisco and Mary Perez.  He was a graduate of Griffith High School and was worked for the Local 597 Pipe Fitters.  Gilberto loved spending time with his friends at the shooting range, drag racing and fishing.  He also loved to eat.  The family  will receive family and friends for a memorial gathering at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, Indiana  46408 - 219 980-5555 on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 p.m.  Gilberto will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
