Manuel Ramos

Manuel Ramos (aka “Monkkey”), 44, of South Chicago, IL, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019.  He was born to Juan M. Ramos and Linda A. Negron on December 3, 1974 in Chicago.  He married Media Ramos-Madera and she survives.  He is also survived by his children; Manuel (Nydia), Gabriel (Hailey), and Destiny; 1 grandson and 2 grandchildren on the way; siblings, Sandra, Angelica (Johnny), Orlando, Isabel (Brian), and Victoria, many other relatives and dear friends.  Preceded in death by his parents, Juan M. Ramos and Linda A. Negron.  Manuel was a people person who would be a show-stopper when he stepped into a room.  He had a great sense of humor and a magnetic personality.  He was also a very loyal person and protector of those he loved.  He was great at keeping secrets, he would go to jail before he would tell!  The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 – 219 980-5555.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.  There will also be a short visitation on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 9:30 -10:00 a.m. with procession to the cemetery to start at 10:00 a.m.  Monkkey will be dearly missed by his loving family and dear friends.
