Priscillana Martinez, 83, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago with her loving family by her side. She was born January 4, 1936 in DePue, Illinois to Bernabe and Presiliana (Jacinto) Espinoza. On March 27, 1965 she married the love of her life, Rudolph L. Martinez. She is survived by her children, David (Jingjing) Aulph, Anthony L. (Dorothy) Aulph, Roberta (Nicholas) Wick, Carlos Martinez, Priscilla (Salvador) Salinas, Jesse Martinez, Monica Puyear, stepchildren, Linda Melendez and her four children, David, Michelle, Eva and Jessica, Rita Martinez and her two daughters, Rosie and Candice, Rosita Dalton and her three children, Rita, Jeff, and Angel, Rudolph Louis Martinez, Jr. ; grandchildren, Samuel Wooley III, Amber Rae, Coreen (Miles) Kristensen, Alfonso Salinas III, Angie (Joel) Negron, Eric Aulph, Salvador Salinas, Jr., Lisa Salinas, Louis (Clarissa) Salinas, Adam Castillo, Joshua Castillo, Christine Martinez, Georgia Wick, Christina (Jon) Brashear, Jennifer Wick, Anthony Aulph, Catherine Aulph, Deborah Aulph; numerous loved and treasured great-grandchildren; her handsome brother, Hank Espinoza; sister, Marcella (Willard) Mott; her dearest lifelong friend (Comadre), Angie Santos; many other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernabe and Presiliana Espinoza; husband, Rudolph L. Martinez; son, David Robert Aulph; great-grand twins, Louis and Angel Salinas; great-grandson, Locke Kristensen, siblings, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Francis Atilano, Alodia Hess, Adelaide Green, Maura Thumma, and Roger Espinoza. Priscillana will be remembered for her love for her family. She was a woman of faith and she instilled that faith in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a Rosary maker in Hammond, sending her Rosaries here and abroad. She started the Share Food Program at the Hammond Civic Center. She was an active member of All Saints Parish in Hammond and more recently St. Margaret Mary Parish in Hammond. She was a resource center aid at Spohn School in Hammond. She was also a crossing guard for the School City of Hammond for many years. A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in DePue, Illinois. Priscillana will be dearly missed by her loving and devoted family and dear friends.
