Rita E. (Harder) Kwasniewski

Rita E. Kwasniewski passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Portage Hospital – Porter Campus.  She was born November 7, 1962 to Harold and Frances (Ashenbremer) Harder in Merrillville, Indiana.  She is survived by her former husband, Kevin Kwasniewski; children, Amy Kwasniewski (Matthew Bournazos), Kimberly (Frank) Floyd, Kevin Kwasniewski and Richelle (Brad) Bochenek; grandchildren, Katelynn Bournazos, Blake, Ellie and Baby Floyd, Dawson and Zachary Bochenek; siblings,  Robert (Sharon) Harder, Rosetta (Joseph) Laas, Virginia (Veon) Hall, Linda (Richard) Stage, Pamela (James) Mayo and Mary (John) Glover.  Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Frances Harder, baby sister, brothers, Stanley Harder and Jerry Harder; pets, Molly, Pedro and Buddy.  Rita will be remembered as a loving Christian mother, grandmother, nurse, caregiver, coach and leader in her community.   Rita will be dearly missed by her loving family and dear friends.   In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
