Mr. Adolfo C. Serna passed away March 14, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving and devoted wife of 71 years (March 31, 2020), Terry, beloved children, Bob Vasquez, Edward Serna and Jean (Jeannie) Serna (David) Lopez and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by two sons, Stanley Gil Serna and Adolfo (Al) Serna, Jr. He was an active member of Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church in East Chicago and was the Headliner for Our Lady Of Guadalupe and St. Patrick's Churches in East Chicago for the December Our Lady Of Guadalupe Fiestas. Adolfo entertained on Sundays at the East Chicago El Ranchero Restaurant with Rafael Lopez on keyboard. He sang professionally in Chicago, billed on the same stage as Mexican stars dressed in his Mexican Charro attire accompanied by the best Mariachi Bands. Adolfo was the first Mexican American to serve as Foreman of East Chicago's Tod Park. He was a pioneer of the Midwest National League of United Latin American Citizens, better known as LULAC. May God give peace and comfort to the Serna family. Funeral Mass is private.
