Alfred Sillers, Jr. was born May 30, 1958, to his mother Annie Sillers and father, Alfred Sillers, Sr. He worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, until he retired in 2020. Al was known for his sense of humor, his ability to be a human GPS and mostly, a great and loving friend. Al married his High School sweetheart in 1979 and during the course of this relationship, he became the Father of 4 children. One, whom preceded him in death. In 1992, this relationship ended in divorce. Al, then fell in love and remarried in 1998 and became a step-father to 3 stepchildren. Alfred loved spending time riding his motorcycle, visiting the casino and using his hands to build or repair anything he could possibly get his hands on. There was nothing that Al didn't know how to do. He enjoyed working on cars, building things and making endless home improvements. He would spend much of his spare time driving around the city of Chicago familiarizing himself and enjoying the sites, he loved to drive everywhere. Al was the epitome of a man, he was very strong and proud. A very extraordinary man that was taken shockingly too soon ! But, his imprint on the world will carry on for years to come. As he was a stellar husband, father, friend and role model. To know Al, is to love Al. His neighbors would often say " do as Al does". When he would work on the exterir of his home, they often followed suit. He will be truly missed. Alfred leaves behind his wife, Marie, 3 children, Jason, Charonda and Carmen; 3 stepchildren, Andre, Cwanda and Brion; parents, Alfred Sr. and Annie Sillers; brother, Alan Sillers; and an overwhelming amount of friends. Thank you for all who have been a part of his life. He disliked no one and accepted all. If you were blessed enough to know him, I'm sure you loved him. REST IN PEACE, ALFRED !!!
