With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alfredo Arriaga, born December 23, 1982, in Merrillville, Indiana, who left this world on Monday, September 23, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Pablo and Maria Arriaga; and his dear nephew, Alexander Knowles.
Alfredo leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Edilia Arriaga. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his parents, Adolfo Arriaga (Irma) and Delores Arriaga; his sister, Angela Arriaga; his brother, Adolfo Jason Arriaga; his stepbrother, John Garza; his stepsisters, Tina Garza, Patrice Beck, and Denise Thornton; his grandmother, Necye Jenkins; grandfather, Cande Castillo; uncle, Angelo Cockrell; and aunt, Iris Arriaga Schultz. Alfredo will be deeply missed by his closest cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, countless friends, and his faithful companion, CoCo.
Alfredo had an incredible gift of making people laugh and a deep love of music. His bold, lively spirit and infectious sense of humor made him the life of every gathering, and he embraced life with passion and joy.
Visitation to celebrate Alfredo's life and the joy he brought to all who knew him will be Wednesday, October 2, 2024, 3:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.
Although Alfredo is no longer with us, the warmth of his memory will light our hearts.
