Alice Mikkelsen-Blakeney

Alice Mikkelsen-Blakeney passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at her home. She was born May 20, 1969 to Ronald and Sandra Mikkelsen in Chicago, IL. She is survived by her fiancé, Michael Blakeney; daughter, Jamie (Greg Kerr) Duncan; step-sons, Jonathan and James; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ariel, and Justin; sisters, Ronda, Eileen (Stan), numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by parents, Ron and Sandy Mikkelsen; sons, Justin and Bradley; and niece, Tara. Alice will be remembered as a proud grandmother and wonderful mother. She was a caring, gentle, giving and loving soul who would do anything for anyone, The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 – 219 980-5555. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. Alice will be dearly missed by her loving family and devoted friends.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
