Autumn Marie-Annette Carter

Autumn Marie - Annette Carter was born July 11, 2003, at St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana.  Autumn was born to Krystal A. Grigsby and Dwight S. Carter.  Autumn attended Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she graduated with her core 40 diploma on June 6, 2021.

Autumn was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend.  Her loyalty and dedication to her loved ones was unmatched. She was exceptionally caring towards her younger sisters and brother.  Autumn was an exceptionally talented young lady who was skilled in hair and make-up.  She was an innovator who lived life with elegance and dignity.  Her personality and warm spirit were infectious, paralleled with an affectionate heart, which makes her exceptionally irreplaceable.  Autumn was a remarkable young lady and will be profoundly missed.

Autumn departed this life on Thursday, October 21, 2021.  She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving mother, Krystal Grigsby, devoted father, Dwight Carter, caring sisters, Brianna Carter, Dierra Carter, and Ariel Spain, her brother, Rashav White-Carter, nephew, Naveen White, maternal grandmother, Deborah Grigsby, maternal grandfather, Jerome (Cynthia) Grigsby, special uncles, Anthony Carter, Andre Williams, John Grigsby, Robert Todd, Sonnyman William (Brenda) Todd, Rudy Holmes, and special aunties, Ebony (Andre) Williams, Lakisha Catron and Joyce Carter.

Autumn is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Carrietta Todd Davidson on October 17, 2021, paternal grandfather, Levan Carter, great-grandmothers, Betty Dotson and Ivery Walters, great-grandfathers, Clyde Dotson, Sr., William Walters, and uncle, Elester Grigsby.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 4, 2021, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with Homegoing Services 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana.  Interment immediately following services at Ridgelawn Cemetery Gary, Indiana.  May God bless the Carter, Grigsby and Todd families.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED AND WILL BE ENFORCED !!
