Barry Franklin Hemminger

Barry Franklin Hemminger, age 69, of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away January 19, 2022, at his residence.  He was born October 27, 1952 in Sommerset, Pennsylvania, to Minnie and Elwood Hemminger.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Hemminger; parents, Minnie and Elwood Hemminger; brother, Marvin Hemminger; sister, Lois Bolin; and grandson, Daryl Hemminger.

Barry was an avid collector of Snoopy, coins and antiques.  He was a retiree of Mittal Steel with thirty-two years of dedicated service.  he also owned a Hub Cap business.  Barry was a beloved father, grandfather, and uncle.

Barry is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Jamielynn) Hemminger;  two brothers, Neal (Patty) and Mark Hemminger; two sisters, Karen Freeman and Tammy Cobb; three grandsons, Ian, Kobie, and Wyatt Hemminger; granddaughter, Chloe Hemminger; great-grandson, Codi Hemminger; great-niece, Emily Fiss and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday February , 2022, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with Funeral Services 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana.  Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
