Carlos Martinez

Mr. Carlos M. Martinez, born December 7, 1932 in Monterrey, Mexico, passed away March 5, 2020, at Town Centre in Merrillville, where he was a resident of the Memory Care Unit.  Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, Carlos (Cecelia) of Jamestown, NC, Laura (Joe) Chamberlain of Chesterton, IN, Cosme (Diane) of Griffith, IN, and Linda (partner, Stan Sims) of Gulfport, MS, grandchildren, Teena (Casey Carpenter) Ortega, Krystal (fiancee' Randy Doughty) Ortega, and Tony Ortega. Carlos is preceded in death by his first wife, and mother of his four children, Argentina, and his second wife, Dolores.  Carlos was a second generation retiree of Inland Steel.  He was a lifelong Cubs fan, loved to tell his life story to anyone who'd listen, and loved his family.
