Carolyn Evon (Kimbrew) Golden

Carolyn Evon Kimbrew Golden was born on September 4, 1939, to the late Enoch Jack Kimbrew and Mary Gordon Kimbrew. She was the first of four children.

She graduated from Roosevelt High School, May of 1957. She was employed by Superior Meat Products, and Gary Community Schools. She enjoyed volunteering at Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus earning volunteer recognition.

She leaves to cherish her memory devoted and loving husband, Donald Golden, Sr.; children, Adrienne (Warren Sr.)  Chumley, Donald (Deborah O'Neal) Golden, Jr., Steven (Marzetta) Golden, Corey (Teara) Golden, and son blended in love, Roderick Golden; brother, Enoch (Debra) Kimbrew, Jr.; grandchildren; Ashley E. Bullock, Corey (Kayla) Golden, Jr., Ceara Golden, Terry (Hannah) Golden, Christian Golden, Brittany R. (Hector) Martinez, Steven A. Golden, II, Cody D. Golden, Warren (Arianne) Chumley, Jr., and Christopher (April) Chumley; great-grandchildren, Aniyah Bullock, Angelo Martinez, Kori Golden, Knoa Golden, Aiyanna Chumley, Aubree Chumley, Alaya Chumley, Taria Londro, Kaeden Miller, Autumn Lynn Evon Chumley, Christina Chumley and Christopher Chumley, Jr.

The wake will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with funeral services on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. All services will take place at Logan Park Assembly of Christ Church 1513 Polk Street Gary, Indiana 46407. Pastor Jeffery Allen, officiant. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery 4401 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.
