Dianne Pace, age 83, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022. She became a beautiful angel where she joined her beloved husband, Ted and son, Michael in eternal peace.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter and son-in love, Dawn and George Pappas; grandson, Aris Pappas; sister, Debi (Butch) Starkey; two brothers, Mike (Diane) Gerenda and George (Alice) Gerenda; two sisters-in-law, Mary Gerenda and Judy Ketelaar; nieces and nephews, Matt and Sara Starkey, Tony and Ryan Gerenda, Kim Allen, Gina DeArmond, Kip Gerenda, Dana Small, Brian Gerenda, Krystle Main, Heather Baker, and Michael Passales; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Ted Pace; and beloved son, Michael Pace; parents, George and Sarah (Bazarko) Gerenda; two brothers, Leonard and Bruce Gerenda; nephew, Kenneth Gerenda; and two nieces, Kim Russell and Johnna Passales.
Dianne was blessed to be a stay-at-home mother and devoted wife to Ted for 53 years. Her greatest joy was raising her two children, Michael and Dawn, and becoming a grandmother to her only grandchild, Aris Pappas. Through the years she enjoyed her many travel adventures with her husband and family to Hawaii, Aruba, Mexico, Las Vegas, Sarasota and Boca Raton Florida, and Palm Springs, California. She also enjoyed fine dining at local restaurants and spending the day in Chicago with friends, taking in all that the city had to offer. Dianne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor to so many that truly loved her ! She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Dianne will be laid to rest with her husband and son at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
