Donald Kenneth Ward

Mr. Donald K. Ward was born April 22, 1932, in Gary, In., and passed away on February 4, 2020.  Donald "Duck" Ward won the Chicago Golden Glove Championship Title at ages 15 and 16.  Donald turned pro-boxer at 17 years old.  After graduating from Gary Roosevelt High School in 1951, Donald enlisted in the United States Air Force where he trained amateur boxers for the Air Force Olympic Boxing Team.  He retired from the Gary Budd Plant and Gary Housing Authority.  Donald is survived by his loving children, Valere (Steve) Cohen of Studio City, CA, David A. (Rose) Ward of Crestview, FL, Darlene Pheal of Michigan City, IN, and Nikki T. (Dennis) Ingram of Crown Point, IN, honorable brother, Milton (Lillie) Ward, Sr., 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
