Doris J Enzian

Doris J. Enzian was born on February 7, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois to John and Doris Tovo.  She lived in the Canaryville area of Chicago and moved to Hammond in 1973, where she resided until her passing.  She was a graduate of Tilden High School Class of 1971.  She met and married her husband David Bruce Enzian , who was a sailor, born in Wareham, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Tovo; husband, David Bruce Enzian; son, Daniel Enzian; and niece, Kimberly Tovo.  Doris was a homemaker who stayed home to care for her children and also took care of her parents after they became ill.  What we remember most about Doris, was she loved to talk to people.  She was the type of person that would start up a conversation just standing in line.  Our Aunt Carol would go over to Doris's home everyday and the two of them would crochet, drink coffee and just talk... about anything and everything !  Doris was a REAL animal lover.  If she found a stray, she would take it in and take care of it. All in all... she had a big heart.  She leaves to cherish her memory: son David Enzian; sister, Judy (Roger) Scott; 3 brothers, John, Lewis and James (Lorrie) Tovo; 3 grandchildren; 4 nieces, Tracy Tovo, Candice Tovo, Naomi Anderson and Kim Bridges; 2 nephews, John Tovo, Jr. and Ryan Scott; and a host of many other relatives and friends.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are limited to only 50 people and masks MUST BE WORN !
