Endia Rivera

Our precious Endia Monet Rivera, age 37, departed this life on October 1, 2022, in Gary, Indiana.
 Endia was born on February 20, 1985, to Johnnie and Patricia Rivera, in Gary, Indiana.  She was the cherished little sister to two loving and protective older brothers.
Growing up, Endia attended Franklin Elementary School and after her family moved to Merrillville, Indiana, she studied at Pierce Middle School.  She was a hard worker and enjoyed her role as a restaurant manager.  Endia loved to cook, journal, and read her devotionals. Endia was loved by everyone she met.  She was generous and nothing made her smile more than helping other people.  She was a beam of sunshine and an adored daughter, sister, and aunt.  Endia was spiritual and loved the Lord.  She was a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Preston Ezell, Jr.
She is preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Rivera; maternal grandparents, Isaiah and Bessie Scott; her paternal grandparents, Candelario and Carmen Rivera; and Baby Miracle.
Endia will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Patricia Rivera of Merrillville, Indiana; two brothers, Johnnie I. Rivera of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Jason Rivera of Gary, Indiana; sister-in-law, Adara Rivera of Crown Point, Indiana; fiance', Joseph Smith of Gary, Indiana; her precious nieces and nephews, Johnnie I. (Carmen) Rivera, Jasmine Rivera, Zydia Rivera, Jaiden Cobb, CamRon Milam, Sean Rivera, Janiya Rivera, Austin Rivera, Kennedy Rivera, Izaiah Rivera, and Lennox Rivera; great-nephew, Remy Rivera; extended family, Donnetta Lemon of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Natalie Ragon of Gary, Indiana; special friend, Nancy Bateman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation Friday, October 14, 2022, 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. with Homegoing Services 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana. 46408.  Rev. Preston Ezell, Jr.; officiating.
