Ethel Gates- Frazier Obituary

Ethel Louise Gates-Frazier of Gary, Indiana was born March 30, 1949, in Gary, Indiana.  She was the daughter of the late James Edward and Ressie Dean Gates.  Ethel departed this life in her home on Sunday, November 29, 2020.  She was a loving mother and a devoted wife.  She was raised up in a good family with strong Christian values; and those values remained with her throughout her life.  After 22 years of dedicated service, Louise retired from the Methodist Hospital North and South Lake Campuses.  Louise was committed to the Lord.  She was a devoted member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.  She faithfully served as a Deaconess, on the Mother's Board and a Teacher of the Sunday School Department.  Louise was the wife of the loving Raymond Thomas Frazier, who preceded her in death in August 2008; along with her three brothers, Ronald, Joseph , and Glenn Gates; three sisters, Gloria Gates, Maggie Garth, and Elois Henry; and grandson, Raymond Mason Frazier.  Precious, loving memories are shared by all whose life she blessed especially, her loving and devoted children, daughter, Sheila Frazier of Gary, IN.; three sons, Raymond Dexter (Cassandra) Frazier of Plainfield, Illinois., Clifton (Rory) Frazier of St. Stevens, Washington, and Terry Frazier of Manhattan, Illinois; four sisters, Karee Burton, Geraldine Gates, Dorisin Gates, and Tracy (Floyd) Brown; five brothers, James Gates, Calvin (Sandra) Gates, Dennis (Arnetta) Gates, Fredrick "Freddie" and Darius "Hank" Gates; grandchildren, Shaun, Christopher, Calandria, Breshauna, Elijah, and Aabriella Frazier and Teyione Roby; one sister-in-law, Marcella Turner; special friends, Ruth Gilkey, Sylvia Fields, and Monica Simpson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.  Visitation  Tuesday, December 8, 2020 9am-11am with Homegoing Services at 11am from Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church 1741 Fillmore St. Gary, IN.  Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.
