Ezekiel Jordan Piňa, infant son of Marcus & Adriana Piňa, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Comer Children’s Hospital.
Ezekiel’s family was blessed with nearly five hours, before he transitioned to his heavenly home. During which he was held in the arms of his mother and father. Along with his parents, he was greeted with love by his paternal grandmother, Irma Piňa , maternal grandmother, Millie Guevara, aunts Jacqueline Alvarez and Clarinda Guevara. Shortly after his birth, he was dedicated to Christ through prayer by Pastors Donald and Marlene Ramirez. As in the womb, Ezekiel experienced mommy and daddy worshiping, and being told “We love you”, We're proud of you" countless times. He is survived by many loved ones; including parents, grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, church family and extended family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Comer Children’s Hospital Labor & Delivery and NICU teams with a special thank you to Nurses Krystal, Taylor and Erin. The family would also like to thank the staff at University of Chicago - Fetal & Maternal Medicine, Nurse Managers Andrea & Heather, for the incredible care provided to Marcus & Adriana throughout this journey. A heartfelt thanks to Pastor Donald & Marlene Ramirez and the entire Cross Church family, along with all those who have helped carry the emotional and spiritual weight of this experience.
