Felton Coy Jackson

Felton Coy Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on January 3, 1945, to Earlene Jackson. He was a graduate of Frobel High School and was employed with Mittal Steel, retiring after 44 years of service. He lived a life of love and friendship and continued to foster those friendships throughout his life.

In the summer of 1964, Felton met the love of his life, Barbara A. Huntley. On January 26, 1969, Felton and Barbara joined hands in Holy Matrimony. To this union, they were blessed with two children, whom he loved unconditionally.

On Sunday December 8, 2024, Felton was called to rest by his heavenly father. Welcoming Felton in heaven were his loving mothers: Earline Jackson and Mae Janette Riggs; brothers, Eardie Jackson and Peter Riggs; nephews, William Bailey, Derek Smith, Jeffrey De'Neal Jackson; father-in-law, Joseph Huntley, Sr., mother-in-law, Evelyn Robinson; brother-in-law, Joseph Huntley, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Debra Huntley and Argie Lee Jackson, and dear friend, Joe Johnson.

Felton is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Jackson; daughters, Briana Jackson and Dana (Melvin) Foggey both of Merrillville, Indiana; grandchildren, Daria Johnson, Dylan Foggey, and Dawson Foggey all of Merrillville, Indiana; sisters, Patricia Gibson, Vicki Patterson, and Jeanette "Jenny" Riggs; sister-in-law, Darlene Johnson; thirteen nephews and nine nieces; devoted friends, Kathy and Kimberly Smith; and a host of other relatives.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 21, 2024, 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. with Homegoing Services 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park 3815 West 39th Avenue Hobart, Indiana 46342.
