Frances B. DeHoyos

Frances B. DeHoyos, 80, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020, at Franciscan Health in Crown Point, Indiana.  She was born in East Chicago, Indiana on October 10, 1939.  She is survived by her children Joannie (Calvin) McCrimmon, and Jose (Kelly) DeHoyos; grandchildren, Michael DeHoyos, Marianna DeHoyos-Gomez, Jose DeHoyos, Jr., Ruben Napules, Colin McCrimmon, Caiden McCrimmon; great-granddaughter, Lily DeHoyos, sisters, Joan Gutierrez, Lupe Leonard and Josephine Gudino; brother, Philip Gutierrez, many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Frances will be remembered as the matriarch of the family.  She was the glue that held the family together.  Remarkable mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.  She loved animals and had two cats that will mourn her memory. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, Indiana 46408 – 219 980-5555.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Theodore Mens officiating.  Burial will take place at a later date at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, Indiana.  Frances will be dearly missed by her loving and devoted family and friends.
