Francisco Enrique Gonzalez Jr.

Francisco Enrique Gonzalez, Jr., age 69, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on June 15, 2026. Known lovingly by all who knew him as "Cisco" was born on September 11,1956, in East Chicago, Indiana to Francisco Enrique Gonzalez, Sr. and Julia LeBron-Aviles, and was the eldest of his siblings.

He grew up in East Chicago Harbor area and later worked as a laborer in East Chicago at Nuevo Leon, where he met his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; and sister, Rosa Pabey.

"Cisco" is survived by his wife, Julia Cruz; children, Natalie, Rey, and Francisco Enrique Gonzalez, III; stepchildren, Madelynn Marrero, Isaias Cruz, and daughter and son-in-law, Christina Lewis and Taron Marrero; numerous brothers; sisters; grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Outside of work, "Cisco" enjoyed sports, gardening, music, movies, and spending time with his family. These things brought him great joy and were an important part of his life.

Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2026, 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. with Funeral Services 4:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Interment Saturday, June 27, 2026. Family will have a processional to Ridgelawn Cemetery promptly at 10:00 a.m.
