Jeffrey A. Berkman, 66, of Lake Station, Indiana, sailed away to Valhalla at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana on September 1, 2020. He was born on June 29, 1954 to Yngve and Ruth Lorraine (Labarr) Berkman in Gary, Indiana. He is survived by the love of his life Diana Falk-Berkman; his children, Carolyn Berkman, Nathan Berkman, Nicholas (Crystal) Brown and George Brown; granddaughter, Charity Lane; grandsons, Nick Jr., Sebastian, Zach, Chance and Alex; brothers, Brian (Nadine) Berkman and Bruce Berkman; nephews, John Wayne Berkman, Samuel Berkman, Zac Sailor, Dakota Boyer and Merico Marinic; nieces, Jennifer Berkman-Bergstrom, Whitney Berkman, Linda Broda, Brittany Broyer, Megan Boyer, Angelica Sailor, Lissa Falk and Lindsey Carrigan; preceded in death by his daughter, Amberlee Berkman; and sister, Janice Berkman-Willie. Jeffrey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a member of the Local Carpenter’s Union 1005 in Hobart, Indiana. He was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana. He was a member of the Glen Park Eagles as well. A Celebration of Life is being planned for sometime in October, the dates to be announced. Jeffrey will be dearly missed by his loving family and dear friends.
