Johanna (Chavez) Castellanos

Johanna Castellanos, 77, of Portage, Indiana, passed away peacefully August 6, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Castellanos; her beautiful daughter, Marina Castellanos; her parents, Raymon and Florence Chavez; and her beautiful sisters, Marie Pawlus and Juanita Galvan.

Johanna leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Mona Mendez; two sons, Rene and Joseph (Laura) Castellanos; several sisters and one brother; seven grandchildren, Marina (Christopher) Ramsey, Jessica Russell, Joshua Mendez, Jonathan Mendez, Nicolas Castellanos, Lianna Castellanos, and Cameron Castellanos; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Johanna was a member of South Haven Christian Church and was loved by many family members and friends.

She loved making jewelry and blankets. Johanna was a great mom, grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
