Obituary
Johnnie Edward Watson, Sr., age 76, of Gary, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Johnnie was born on November 14, 1946, in Fork Mountain, Tennessee to Mitchell and Doris Watson.
Johnnie was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served from 1963 to 1968.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Doris Watson; wife, Janet Watson; and grandson, Ryan Watson.
Johnnie is survived by his son, Johnnie (Amber) Watson, Jr.; daughters, Rebecca "Becky" (Chris ) Pahl, April Carter, and Lisa Smedley; grandchildren, Kaylie Watson, Brandon Davis, Blake Davis, Brett Davis, Chloe Pahl, Courtney Pahl, Ashtyn Corbin, and Rickey Baird, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Rickey Baird, Jr., and Renley Baird. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. We will always love you Pappy !
Visitation will be Monday, March 13, 2023, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Military Honor Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery 4401 West Ridge Road, Gary, Indiana.
