Jose A Ortiz Jimenez

Jose Antonio Ortiz Jimenez, age 86, passed away on June 6, 2020, at Franciscan Saint Margaret Hospital in Hammond, Indiana.  He was born March 19, 1934, in Aibonita, Puerto Rico, the son of Mariano Ortiz and Tomasa Jimenez.  He worked for the City of East Chicago Water Filtration for most of his adult life, until he retired.  Jose is preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas, Ruperto, Hector, Antonio, Carlos, Mario and Jamie.  Jose is survived by his siblings, Ana Rosa, Benjamin, Angel, Iris, Maria and Delia, and many nieces and nephews, and his only god-daughter, Maritza Agosto  He was never married and had no known children.  He will be missed.  The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.  Please consider posting on his Tribute Wall and/or planting a tree in his memory through this website.
