Kaiyn Syre, 8lbs. 14.3 oz, born March 5, 2022 @ 10:17p.m. to Lauren Lampkin and Nico Varnado. He was a breastfed baby, so his favorite place to be was on my chest and in my arms. He was a true cuddle bug. When he was hungry, he would cry, turn bright red and make a snorting sound, so I called him "Piggy". His favorite toy was a little elephant attached to his pacifier. We called her Ellie. He loved bath time but hated getting dressed after. I would rub him down with lotion and powder him after his bath, then I'd rub his feet while I nursed him. He had the softest skin, especially his little toes. I'd sing "You are my sunshine " to him daily and he would stare at me with the widest, most loving gaze as he laid in my arms. My parents were so excited when I gave birth to him. They would visit him almost every day, especially my mom, Yolanda Thorton-Lampkin. Each person who loves him has a special name for him. My mom (grandma) calls him Granny's boy and little daddy. My dad Barry Lampkin (grandpa) calls him Red Man. My daughter calls him baby brother. My oldest sister (TT Shon) calls him Muffin and his dad calls him daddy's man. He has several siblings, but unfortunately, he didn't get to meet most of them. He lived with his sister, Kailynn Lampkin and his brother, Kaiden Varnado.
Kaiyn is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Lauren Lampkin and Nico Varnado; siblings, Kailynn Lampkin and Kaiden Varnado; maternal grandparents, Yolanda Thornton-Lampkin and Barry Lampkin; two aunts, LaShondra and Taleysa Lampkin; special cousins, Talaya Hughes, Amarianna and Allison Baker; and several siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and relatives.
My baby was a light. Kaiyn means "God is gracious" and Syre (Sire) is the formal address for a king. He was a gift. He was MY gift. He and his siblings are my joy, my happiness. In 6 weeks, he turned my world upside down in the best way possible. He gave me 44 of the best days of my life. Waking up to him was a blessing. I'll miss his little kisses and the way he nuzzled into my neck when we would cuddle. I'll miss nursing him and the look of satisfaction on his face when he was full. I'll miss bath time and playing lullabies for him as I watched him drift off to sleep. Most of all, I'll miss his loving, wide eyed gaze. He was truly made in God's image because he was PERFECT !
