Obituary

Katie L. Kendrick was born on June 3, 1943, in Union Springs, Alabama, to the late Turner L. and Sallie B. Kendrick.  She made her transition from earth to glory on Friday, April 1, 2022.

She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age.  She was a very faithful and dedicated member of Greater St. James A.M.E. Church until her health began to fail.  She sang gospel with her sisters "The Kendrick Sisters", and also with the Joiner's Five Trumpets.  Katie was a 1963 graduate of Roosevelt High School.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Eileen Wiggins, and Delores Kendrick.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her two loving and devoted sisters, who were also her caregivers, Diane and Denise Kendrick; godson, Kevin Gober, and a host of other relatives and dear friends. May God grant her eternal rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that a donation be made to your favorite charity in Katie's memory.
