Lester Core

Mr. Lester Core, age 78, of Munster, Indiana, passed away February 26, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Clifton Core; sister, Patricia Core; brother-in-law, David Forsberg; sister-in-law, Diane (AL) Fraser; and great-nephew, Brandon Fraser.

Mr. Core graduated in 1964 from Gavit High School's first graduating class, and also from the School of Business at Indiana University in 1968, earning his CPA from The American Certified Public Accountant Institute at the University of Illinois in 1974.

Mr. Core is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Carol Core; sisters, Janet (Joel) Hochman, and Pamela Boll; brother, Jimmy (Denise) Core; and sister-in-law, Alice (David) Clatterbuck; nieces, Sara (Steve) Chamberlain, Aimee Ross, and Colleen (Greg) Moyer; nephews, Kyle (Cathy) Fraser, Alexander (Natalie) Fraser, David Thomas Clatterbuck, and Ben Hochman; great-nephews and nieces, Gabriele Fraser, Gage Fraser, Jordan Fraser, Brandt Fraser, Riley Ross, Sophie Chamberlain, Lily Chamberlain, Denver Hochman, and Sterling Hochman, other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with Funeral Services 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Pastor Scott Mauck, officiating. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery 4401 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.
