Magdalena Rivera-Otano

Magdalena Rivera-Otano, 93, of Merrillville, Indiana passed away on October 1, 2022.  

She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on December 18, 1928.  She was the daughter of Luis Rivera and Monserate Rivera.

Magdalena was a devoted mother to; Louis (Aurora) Otano, Sergio (Ivette) Otano, Annie (Ruben) Otano-Barreto, and Freddy Otano; 10 grandchildren, Madeline Velez-Pimentel, Angel Otano, Sr., Tony Velez, Emily Otano-Medina, Vanessa Otano, Miriam Otano, Ismael Barreto, Jonathan Barreto, Maria Otano and Jacob Otano; 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson and a host of other loving family members and precious friends.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ismael Otano and beloved daughter, Lillian Otano-Velez.

Visitation Friday, October 7, 2022, 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. with Funeral Services 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. from Christian Revival Center 805 West 57th Avenue Merrillville, Indiana.  Entombment Ridgelawn Cemetery Gary, Indiana.

Rosita will be dearly missed by her loving, devoted family and precious friends.  God Grant Her Eternal Peace.
