Margaret Ann Owens

Margaret Ann Owens of Hammond, Indiana was born to the late Robert Lester Owens and Fannie Mae Owens on December 22, 1950, in Starkville, Mississippi.

On May 2, 2025, Margaret departed this life to be with the Lord. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved daughter, Nicole "Nikki" Thomas; granddaughter, Grace Thomas both of East Chicago, Indiana; nieces and nephews: Anthony, Antonia, Cliff, Michelle, Denise, Yaneisha, Kim, Samuel, Maurice, Jr., Lisa, Tavius, and James, Jr., and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Fannie Owens; five brothers, Maurice Thomas, James "Butch" Thomas, Robert "Jack" Owens, Jr., Edward Owens, and Freeman Owens; her only sister, Patricia (Owens) Graham; and her nephew, Robert Owens, III.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. from Leak & Sons Funeral Home 18400 Pulaski Road Country Club Hills, Illinois 60478.
