Margaret (Lopez) Roque

Margaret "PUDGIE" Roque (nee Lopez), age 89, of East Chicago, Indiana passed away November 19, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born to Ascension and Jovita Lopez on April 8, 1934, in East Chicago, Indiana.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, William Roque; parents, Ascension and Jovita Lopez; sisters, Mary (Santos) Ramirez, Isabel (John ) Armenta and Connie (Joe) Alamillo; brothers, Paul Lopez, Ezequile (Cecilia) Lopez, Henry (Emma) Lopez, Monico Lopez, Adolph (Mary) Lopez, Victor Lopez, and Ruben (Lynette) Mayen.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Monica Roque; sons, William (Kathleen) Roque, and Robert G. Roque; grandchildren, Robert, Sara, Henry, Adam, Raymond, Richard, Brayden, and Brittney (Justin) O'Rourke; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Ethan, Sianna, and Anthony; great-great grandchildren, Daniel IV, Killian, Alfio, and Pierce; brother, Phillip (Helen) Lopez; sisters, Gloria Justiniano, Louise Casteneda, and Sandra Lopez and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Margaret Roque worked as a bus driver for the East Chicago and Hammond Schools, and Dial-A-Ride for many years.

Visitation Thursday, November 30, 2023, 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. with Funeral Services 4:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana. 46408. Interment is private.

Margaret will be deeply missed by her loving family and dear friends. God Grant Her Eternal Peace.
