Maria Guillen Obituary

Maria E. Guillen, age 91, of East Chicago, Indiana, originally from Sabinas, Mexico passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 6, 2022.

Maria was born on February 10, 1930 and is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Guillen, Sr.; daughter, Socorro; sons, Jesus Guillen, Luis Guillen, Juan Carlos Guillen, and great-grandson, Ralph R. Cancel.

Maria is survived by her loving children, Guadalupe (Lupe) Mauricio, Ramon Jr. (Ruby) Guillen, Josie (Ralph) Cancel, Jose Sr. (Sara) Guillen, Cristina (William) Rios, Juan Antonio (Juanita) Guillen, Laura (Luis) Figueroa, Richie (Teri) Guillen, David Guillen, Ana Guillen, and Daniel Guillen. She is also survived by 44 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Maria was a dedicated wife ,mother, and grandmother. Maria was also a loyal member of her church Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal in East Chicago, Indiana for almost 60 years.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2022, 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. with additional visitation on Friday, January 14, 2022, 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. from Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal 3802 Elm Street east Chicago, Indiana 46312. Interment to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery Gary, Indiana.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES VACCINATED OR UNVACCINATED !! SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE ENCOURAGED !!
