Obituary

Marilyn K. Satmary passed away peacefully on March 2, 2022, at St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point, Indiana.  She lived 80 wonderful years ! Marilyn was born in Lowell, Indiana, to John Francis Smith and Francis L. Smith.  She was a resident of Hammond for 40 years.

She was employed as a Directory Assistance Operator for Ameritech and retired in 2004.  Marilyn loved quilting, cross stitching, and loved reading.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her 2 beloved sons, Michael A. Satmary and Mark Satmary; parents; and former husband, Joseph C. Satmary. 

She is survived by her 2 grandchildren, Matthew (Bethany) Aubrey of Lowell, Indiana, and Angel Satmary of Crown Point, Indiana; 2 great-grandchildren,  Finnegan Connor and Piper Rose Aubrey both of Lowell, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Tammy (Jason) Kueny of Crown Point, Indiana; brother, Donald Smith of Severn, Maryland; and sister, Janice Hall of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Memorial Service will be Tuesday, April 19, 2022, 11;00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana.

MASKS MUST BE WORN BY ALL ATTENDEES VACCINATED OR UNVACCINATED !
