Marina Perez

Marina Perez, 87,  a resident of Cape Coral, Florida, since 1995, formerly of Gary, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, in Cape Coral. She was born July 18, 1937, in Moca, Puerto Rico to Cecilio Ramirez and Apollonia Vera, now deceased.

Marina was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of her church community in Cape Coral Florida and in Gary, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

She is survived by her loving children; Jose (Dorothy) Perez, Jr., of Cape Coral, FL., Lillian Perez of Schaumburg, IL., Ramon (Pam) Perez of Merrillville, IN., Marybelle (Stephen) of Jonesboro, GA., Michael Perez of Fond-du-lac, WI., and Richie (Stacey) Perez of Lehigh Acres, FL.; five sisters; four brothers; as well as 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Marina was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Perez, Sr. in 2010; son, David Perez, Sr. in 2021, grandson, Ricardo Perez in 2018; mother, Carmen Ramirez; brothers, Wilfredo Ramirez and Luis Ramirez; and sister, Sori Velez.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2024, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park 3815 West 39th Avenue Hobart, Indiana 46342.
