Marvil Timothy Johnson ( Moo-Moo) was born on October 20th, 1992 in Oak Lawn, IL. He was the son of Marvil and Tawana Johnson. The family relocated from Blue Island, IL to Merrillville, IN where he received his early education from Hosford Park Elementary and Lake Ridge Middle School. He later earned his diploma from Merrillville High school. From early on Marvil was a bubbly and friendly soul. His infectious smile warmed many hearts and definitely lit up any room that he was in. He was a very spiritual person and would often be happy to share his beliefs with others. He loved reading/ music and food - especially his mama’s sweet potato pie and his dad’s famous butter rolls. Marvil enjoyed writing in his journals. During this time he would often meditate and study things like religion, history and personal growth. He was known for his sense of style and had an eye for fashion. He was a very handsome and photogenic person who wasn’t afraid to express himself in front of a camera. Marvil touched many lives that he came across and put a lot of love into everything he did. Marvil leaves to cherish both of his parents, grandparents, Minister Ardenia Johnson and George and Dollie Garolds, two sisters Keiana ( Donyell) and Kiarra (Zachary), a brother Andre Rogers, nieces Janiya, Janae, Davonya, Wisdom and Wynter, nephews Antoine, Darion and Keon. Loving girlfriend Amber, and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Marvin Johnson and uncles Ralph Johnson, Willie Simmons, Kenneth Johnson, and George Garolds Jr. and aunt MaryAnn Simmons.
Marvil you were the Sonshine to our lives and you will be greatly missed.
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change… Courage to change the things I can… and the Wisdom to know the difference.
