Patricia Ann Cox

Patricia  Ann Cox, age 65, of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away peacefully March 6, 2022, at William J. Riley Memorial Residence in Munster, Indiana.  Patricia was born August 22, 1956, in East Chicago, to James Ross and Juanita Moore.

She was a graduate of East Chicago Washington High School. After graduation she entered into a career with United Stares Postal Service in Gary, Indiana.  Retiring after thirty-eight years of loyal and dedicated service, she was honored with a large gathering of postal-co-workers, family and friends for being a diligent professional who had mastered a wide variety of positions and never missing a scheduled shift.

Even though she was our baby sister, she taught us the importance of work ethics.  She was smart, classy, and full of joy and laughter.  She was a wonderful sister, aunt, and great-aunt.  She loved talking and playing with all of her nephews, nieces, great-nieces and nephews.  She always gave them words of wisdom and encouragement.  They loved her as well.

Patricia is preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Moore; father, James Ross; stepfather, Walter Moore; brother, Warren Ross, and aunt, Elnora Singleton.

She leaves to mourn her passing:  two dedicated and loving sisters, Senetha (Charles) Robinson and Tina (Michael) Schnake;  five caring brothers, Larry (Jeanell Headen) Ross, Charles Ross, Wallace Ross, Kevin Moore, and Allan Ross; she will also be remembered by six nephews; five nieces; sixteen great-nieces and nephews; six aunts; one uncle; and special friends, Cynthia Walker, Maryland Wash, and Keith Cassel, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 10:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. with Homegoing Services 11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana. Entombment  Evergreen memorial Park Hobart, Indiana.
