Rafael Baldazo

Rafael Baldazo was born in East Chicago, Indiana on June 11, 1951. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Roberto and Gerarda Baldazo; his brother, Roberto Baldazo, Jr.; and his sister, Isabel Hinojosa.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Ralph, chances are he has helped you in some way. Ralph was always willing to help anyone in need. There wasn't anything he didn't know how to fix or wouldn't google to figure out. If you needed something put together he would do it, even if it turned out upside down or there were "extra" parts, "but hey it works."

Ralph lovingly referred to by his nieces and nephews as "Uncle Buck" loved music, loved to dance, and he was definitely the life of any party. He wanted everyone around him to have a good time. He taught us that it is never too late to turn your life around and choose a positive path to happiness. 

He is survived by his siblings: Nancy Jenner, Nora Baldazo, Hector Baldazo, Blanca Alvarez, Nelly Tovar, Norma Baldazo, Yolanda Baldazo, Fernando Baldazo, and Jerry Baldazo; several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Patrice Jackson; her brother, Terrance Smith and the Smith Family.

Ralph will be deeply missed, but we will find comfort in all of our memories.

Visitation Monday, September 11, 2023, 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with Funeral Services Tuesday, September 12, 2023 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery.
