Ramiro Casillas, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital in Hobart, Indiana. He was born and raised in East Chicago, Indiana, but resided in Lake Station, Indiana at the time of his death.
For all who knew Ramiro, knew that he loved listening to his favorite bands; The Rolling Stones, The Temptations, Santana and Bob Marley, just to name a few.
Growing up, people knew him by his nickname, Dirty Harry. His favorite hobbies included working on cars and motorcycles. That was his true passion. As time passed, and age started kicking in, he turned to spending time with his family: brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great-nephews. He always blessed us with his presence during holidays and family gatherings. There were so many memories that he left behind for us to remember him by.
Ramiro has left us to join his parents and siblings in heaven. Father and mother, Fransisco and Margaret Casillas; brothers, Robert, Arthur, and Oscar; and sister, Mary Ellen.
