Robert C Ferris

Robert C. Ferris, 62, passed away on April 1, 2021.  Bob has left this world a better place.  Those who were fortunate to have known him, are better people for it.  His beautiful free spirit, love, patience and devotion for his wife, children and grandchildren will remain with us for the rest of eternity.  Bob was so dedicated to his employer, VanGard Vault for over 30 years.  He was so loved and respected for his dedication, always giving 100% and more.  Bob and Janet married on June 25, 1983, and oh what a special day that was !  Friends and family still remember it as one of the "BEST WEDDINGS" they ever attended.  From that day on, they both had a marriage and love that most people could only dream of having in their lifetime.  Bob's favorite place on Earth was "Home".  He loved spending time with his family.  He had a passion for cooking and his family was so blessed to enjoy his expertise in the kitchen.  Bob always enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid gardener and loved working in his yard.  He also loved to skip out with his sons and grandsons for a day of fishing.  To elaborate how much Bob will be missed is impossible.  Our lives forever changed on April 1, 2021.  Bob is survived by his loving wife, Janet; his sons, Michael (Jill) and Clayton (girlfriend, Delilah); precious grandchildren, Jaret, Brooklyn, Cali, Camden, Rylee and Reese; his mother, Barbara Ferris; sisters, Penny (Joe) Bardoczi, and Candy Bernotus; brother-in-law, Jeffery Fee; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Dave) Giordano and our furry son, Grizzly.  Preceded in death by his son, Brent Ferris; father, Charles Ferris, father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Thelma Fee; and sister-in-law, Doris Fee.  Friends are invited to a celebration of Bob's life with family on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana. 46408.  Masks and social distancing will be enforced.
