Roberto Figueroa

Roberto Figueroa, age 87, of Gary, Indiana, passed away on November 18, 2021.  Roberto was born in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico.  Preceded in death by his father, Cesario Figueroa; mother, Elisa Soto; sister, Liduvina Rivera, and brother, George Fiqueroa.

Roberto was extremely fond of all professional teams from Boston, especially the New England Patriots, and the Boston Red Sox.  In his younger years he helped create some baseball leagues in the Dorchester/Roxbury sections of Boston, MA.  Roberto was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ana (Rodriguez) Figueroa; daughters, Sandra Rodriguez of Gary, Indiana; son, Jose E. Gonzalez of Boston, MA.; daughter, Alma Figueroa; sons, Roberto Fiqueroa Jr., Efrain Fiqueroa of Puerto Rico; grandchildren, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Sandra Ivette Gonzalez, Gabriel Marrero, Khalila Key, Ismail (Izzy) Key, Roberto Figueroa, III, Robert Yadyel Figueroa, Janilette Michille Figueroa, Gustavo Figueroa, Juysseppe Figueroa, Nicol Figueroa, Rembrandt Sambrana Figueroa, and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Figuero were private.  God bless the Figueroa families.
