Somnuek Chornjungreed

Somnuek Chornjungreed, age 55, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023.  Born to Sangchan Buckner in Khorat, Thailand, "Nook" came to the United States along with two other siblings, and his mother.

In later years, "Nook" had a passion for construction, in which he became very successful in doing.  "Nook" loved to cook and be around his family, especially on holidays. He was protective of his siblings. He loved rock and roll music, but his favorite song was "Hypnotize" by Biggy Smalls.

"Nook" is preceded in death by his mother, Sangchan Buckner.

He leaves to mourn a lifetime of memories: siblings, Somsauk (Sook) Nikki, Jessica, Erica, Tasha, Joseph, and Jason; a host of nieces and nephews he cherished so very much; great friend, Leroy Jackson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He will be missed dearly by his family.

Memorial Service will be Tuesday, January, 17, 2023 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.  Interment private.
