Teresa Morales

Teresa Zuniga Morales died peacefully at home on June 27, 2020, in Merrillville, IN, at the age of 70.  Teresa was born on October 15, 1949 in Guanajuato, Mexico.  She graduated from East Chicago High School and married her high school sweetheart, Ramon Morales. They were married for 50 years.  After moving to Merrillville, IN., the couple welcomed their 3 children into their home and anyone else who sought love and refuge.  Her children will remember her as a driven mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.  She was a witty and dedicated individual who loved her family and who was passionate about life.  Teresa is survived by her husband, Ramon Morales; three children, Ramon (Beth) Morales, Jr. of Hobart, IN, Leonor (Kevin) Simonton of Indianapolis, IN, and Monica (Tommy) Rivera of Indianapolis, IN; nine grandchildren Anthony Morales of LA, Makala Morales of IN, Elaine (fiance' Stuart Campbell) Roldan of NY, Celina (Gabriel) Matthews of IN, Angel (Allyssa) Roldan of KY, Roman Roldan of CA, Damien Roldan of KY, Bronte Villalva of AZ, Alayshia Rivera of IN; six great-grandchildren; two siblings, Ana Zuniga of MI and Jesus (Rose) Zuniga of TX, and a host of nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Luis and Virginia Zuniga-Garcia of East Chicago, IN.  Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2020 from 9am-11am with Funeral Services at 11am from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, IN. 46408.  Pastor Joaquin Rodriguez, officiant.  Reception to follow burial at The American Legion New Chicago-454 339 Michigan St. Hobart, IN. 46342.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Teresa's life.  May God bless the Morales families.
