Tiffany Watkins-Walker Obituary

Tiffany (Boo)) Watkins-Walker was born in Gary, Indiana on April 24, 1980, to Vicki Dunn and Lonnie Watkins. She was the oldest of her siblings, brother, Lonnie Dunn, and sister, Adrieonna Dunn. As a child she excelled academically and athletically; having a strong understanding of mathematics and skills on the basketball court.

Her early school days were spent at Ivanhoe Elementary School and Edison Middle School before graduating from Westside High School in 1998.Tiffany and her friends would play basketball frequently where she would end up being the BEST of the BEST !

She met her soon to be husband, Shamari Walker, Sr., through basketball in 1999. Shamari Sr. and Tiffany would go on to date for a year and have their first child, Shamari Walker, Jr., before they would be united in holy matrimony. Four years later, they would welcome their second child, Amarion Jordan Lee Walker. Tiffany loved both of her sons greatly and would go on to be a stay-at-home mother to help raise them to become the men they are today. Tiffany loved her special niece, Iyanna Hamilton, just as much as her sons. She also believed family extended beyond biological measures and loved her third son, our family dog, Apollo Creed Walker.

She was a light in dark times. A fighter and survivor that never wanted to give up, no matter how difficult the road ahead looked. The family's problem solver, accountant, and counselor. A lovely mother, sister, and wife.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Vicki (Dunn) Bowens; father, Lonnie Watkins; grandmother, Lucille Dunn, aunt, Brenda Dunn, uncle, Richard Dunn, and stepfather, Bennie Bowens.

We love Tiffany with all our hearts and will continue to fight every day in her memory.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Tiffany's memory to the American Cancer Society.
