Tyrone Olive, Sr.

Tyrone Olive, Sr., age 66, was born to the late Murphy Sr., and Katie Olive in Jackson, Mississippi on January 8, 1959.

On Friday, August 29, 2025, Tyrone answered the call from his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at home surrounded by his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Sr., and Katie Olive; and brother, Murphy Olive, Jr.

Tyrone, Sr. was a 1978 graduate of West Side High School. He enjoyed running, washing his car and took enormous pride in how he dressed.

Tyrone, Sr. leaves to cherish his loving daughter, TyShawn Golden of Indianapolis, Indiana; devoted son, Tyrone, Jr. (Asha) Olive of Meza, Arizona; six sisters, Mynelle Olive of Gary, Indiana, Verna Olive of Dolton, Illinois, Trena Olive, Sherry Olive, Sharon (Scott) Jackson, and Christy Olive all of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Fred (Antoinette) Olive, and Iury (Chambray) Olive of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandsons, Thomas, Timothy, and Troy Golden; one granddaughter, Iayah; and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends, Donald "Dondee" Griffin, Jr., Winfred Williams and Cathy Olive; other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.

Visitation will be Monday, September 8, 2025, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with Homegoing Services 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery 4401 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.
