Victor Castellanos

Victor Castellanos joined our Lord and Savior on September 29, 2021.  He leaves to cherish his memories, loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Johanna Castellanos;  3 loving children, daughter, Mona (Jesus) Mendez; 2 sons, Joseph (Laura) Castellanos, and Rene Castellanos; brother, Gavino (Hedi) Castellanos; 7 grandchildren, Marina (Chris Ramsey) Sanchez, Jessica (Reginald) Russell, Joshua Mendez, Jonathon Mendez, Nicolas Castellanos, Lianna Castellanos and Cameron Castellanos; 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, Braylen Triplett ; and many other relatives and friends.

Victor loved working on refrigerators and air conditioners.  He retired from Inland Steel (Cleveland Cliffs) and the University of Chicago Hospital.  Victor loved helping his family and friends.  He was his family's hero and is now their guardian angel. He will definitely be missed by many especially their dog, Chula.

Visitation will be Friday, October 8, 2021, 11:00 am-12 pm with Funeral Service 12:00 pm-1:00 pm from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana.  Interment with Military Honors at Ridgelawn Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Basilia Castellanos; daughter, Marina Castellanos ,sister, Ramona Castellanos; brother, Antony Castellanos; and many nieces and nephews.
