Virginia M Cerros

Virginia M. Cerros was born January 28, 1935, in Jalisco, Mexico, to Faustina Rivas.  She came to the United Staes at the age of 15 years old, where she lived with her mother, brothers and sisters. 

She later met and married Francisco Cerros, and to this union 10 children were born.  They lived in East Chicago for a short time then moved to Gary, Indiana where they lived for over 50 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Cerros; and 2 sons, Cecilio and Francisco Cerros, Jr.; and mother, Faustina Rivas.

Virginia is survived by 4 daughters, Linda (Juan Martinez), Maria (Rene' Salgado), Alice (Michael Barsac), and Angie (Leo Gutierrez); 4 sons, John Cerros, Ricardo (Debra) Cerros, Henry (Lucero) Cerros, and David (Blanca) Cerros; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.  

Visitation Friday, May 12, 2023 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. with Funeral Services 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408.  Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery.
