Vivian Lynn, 89, of East Chicago, Indiana, gained her heavenly wings on January 1, 2024.
Vivian (Rollins) Lynn was born in East Chicago, Indiana on March 10, 1934. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Florida Rollins. Vivian is the last living sibling of four, she is joined with her two brothers, Charles and Alfred Rollins; her two sisters, Florence Shirley and Ledora Yocum; a special niece, Ledora Rollins; great- nephew, Charles D. Lynn; and great- grandson, Malik Thomas.
Vivian is survived by her loving husband, Johnny F. Lynn of 64 years; seven wonderful children who all stayed by her side; four sons, Wallace Harvey, Jr., Johnny K. Lynn, Terry Lynn, and Maurice Rollins; three daughters, Darcel, Christianna, and Karla Lynn. Johnny and Vivian adopted three relatives, her great-nephew, Desmond (Azerah) Rollins, and one great-niece, Darnice Rollins. Vivian has 9 grandchildren, Kyle (Kassondra) Jackson, Sylvester, Varitian, and Antoine McClain, Latoria (Derek) Taylor, Tiffany Harvey, Taylor Thomas, Tevin Lynn, and Khia (Kanuja) Ebbin; 26 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, spiritual sons and daughters, friends, and church members.
Vivian, momma, mom, grandma, Granny, Auntie, Aunt Viv, Evangelist and Mother Lynn are some of the enduring names that she was called by many that loved her. She leaves so many beautiful memories; such as a humbling spirit, a true woman of God who loved the Lord and the word of God, a true teacher of life, love for all people that crossed her path. In addition, she leaves with her family many days full of laughter and joy. She opened her heart and doors to anyone. Her pure unique love, kindness, and one on one guidance that she shared with everyone will live on in our hearts through eternity. Although Vivian has received her crown of Glory for a job well done, she will be truly missed in the hearts of everyone who loved her.
